Matt Gilroy Biography

At an early age, Matt Gilroy began his career in the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL). Gilroy joined Hockey East, an ice hockey team in the year 2005-06 while he was in college. In his senior year, Matt appeared as a Team Captain for his college ice hockey team. Then, he got featured in Beanpot; an ice hockey tournament, and won the Award in 2009.

Gilroy after his tremendous success with the college team hired by the , a professional ice hockey team for two years for 3.5 million dollars, and began his National Hockey League (NHL) career with the New York Rangers in 2009. Gilroy gave his performance as a defenseman in NHL.
