Javier began his interest in music since he was in Frank Scott Bunnell High School. He began writing songs since he was child. After his high school graduation, he joined University of Hartford's Hartt School and majored in music. While he was there, he joined EmcQ as a vocalist and performed in several shows.  He then joined The Derek Trucks Band after an impressive audition in July 2000. However, he left this band within two years and began pursuing his solo career from 2002 and finally released his debut solo album, Javier in 2003. His net worth is said to be around $1.8 million.
