Thrillseekers stranded mid-air on theme park Wipeout ride for hours while injured rider is rescued b
THRILLSEEKERS were reportedly stuck on a roller-coaster ride for two hours today with emergency crews rushing to rescue them.
Fire crews had to pluck a man from the Wipeout ride at Pleasurewood Hills theme park in Lowestoft on Sunday.
One witness said four fire trucks arrived at the theme park, adding a number of people had been stuck on the ride for two hours.
It is understood a man had been suffering back pain on the ride.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service shared a photograph of a fireman using a cherry picker to help free an injured man, saying: "Working with Norfolk fire and East England Ambulance at Suffolk theme park to rescue man from carriage many thanks to Pleasurewood Hills for support."
They added: "Great team effort including Combined Fire Control for intelligent mobilising to this unusual incident."

Emergency services were called to the scene about 3.45pm on Sunday.
England Ambulance Service NHS Trust said a man in his 40s was taken to James Paget University Hospital for further care.
His condition is not believed to be life threatening.
Pleasurewood Hills was unable to be contacted for comment.
It's not the first time adrenaline-junkees were left in the lurch, with passengers left dangling upside down, 80ft in the air, after a rollercoaster at Alton Towers broke down.
The Galactica ride got stuck on its tracks leaving dozens of riders stranded for up to half-an-hour as temperatures rose to 33.9C.
